hello, my name is Jo and I've thought a lot about you, probably. the whole world is mine to cradle and romanticize, can't you feel the earth beneath you rocking back and forth? (I know you I know you I knowdoyouknowdoyouknowdoyouknow)

I am 21 years old, my pronouns are she/her, and I'm a filmmaking student who fills her free time by being a menace to society: an active lesbian who doesn't move out of the way for pissy drivers while she bikes on roads they can TOTALLY share

there aren't many interesting things to note about me:
I pace around the east coast of the united states, dipping my toes in the hudson river and popping my head out the chesapeake bay. I've worked many food service jobs and have had my heart burned and bittered because of it, but the love of my girlfriends, my baby boy kitty, and the rest of my chosen family soothes it day by day. half of my income from the two jobs I currently work go to dunkin donuts iced coffee and weed

I do also like to make art, mostly photography and video art. but I have filled a lot of my website with drawings that I've pried from all the journals I'm always writing in! the background image of this page is a film photograph I developed of my girlfriend's old apartment, while all the figures spread about are my self portraits.

I was going to die, if not sooner then later, whether or not I had ever spoken myself. My silences had not protected me. Your silence will not protect you. But for every real word spoken, for every attempt I had ever made to speak those truths for which I am still seeking, I had made contact with other women while we examined the words to fit a world in which we all believed, bridging our differences. And it was the concern and caring of all those women which gave me strength and enabled me to scrutinize the essentials of my living.
